Banker suicides are still happening, they just are not getting the coverage like before, for some reason.
There still is plenty of questions why JPMorgan Chase has so many of these horrific events. By my estimation 6-8 bankers or former bankers have worked for JPM and taken their own live and that of others in some circumstances.
This weekend it was discovered that Michael Tabacchi, a JPM employee living in a tony Bergen County, New Jersey home, strangled and stabbed his wife then plunged the knife into his chest.
The couples 15-month-old toddler was left unharmed in the next bedroom in the home that is 25 miles from Manhattan.

When you speak to execs at the bank, they will tell you on background that the bank is working with mental health professionals to develop tools to help employees deal with the stress of the job.
It just doesn’t seem to ring true that it is the pressure, since no other firm on the Street has had so many suicides within its ranks – from high ranks as well.
